Kathmandu - Hamro Patro, a renowned Nepali app, has launched a new feature in its news section to make news reading easier for everyone. This feature introduces a way to analyze and categorize important news, presenting summaries in a bulletin format.
It updates every three hours, ensuring that users always have access to the latest news. This facility is particularly aimed at users who might not have much time to read news but wish to stay informed and engaged. Hamro Patro Inc. mentioned that this feature was introduced to enhance interaction among its conscious and informed readers.
Since last week, Hamro Patro has been utilizing AI to analyze, categorize, and summarize significant news stories in a bulletin format. However, until now, readers did not have the option to react to these stories. With the recent update, news summaries in the bulletin will now be updated every three hours, allowing readers to provide feedback.
Director Sudina Gautam of Hamro Patro explained that the AI is capable of identifying similarities across different news stories. It also claims to recommend news articles tailored to the reader's interests, preferences, and reading habits, thus aiding in a more personalized news-reading experience.
