Kathmandu / Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' today said the Ministry of Home Affairs has taken worthwhile initiatives in favour of social justice, good governance and prosperity.
In a meeting with members and coordinators of the committees and subcommittees formed to submit suggestions on the policy reforms of the home administration, the PM said he expected suggestions pointing out the need and priorities of reforms in the administration and security.
Such suggestions would help the government with determining the priority, he said.
The meeting involving Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha discussed the area of reforms and action plan to make the home administration efficient and capable, to ensure the security of people and to make the public service efficient, it has been said.
DPM Shrestha said that in the meeting of the parliament, the Prime Minister stated about the priorities of the government and initiatives had been taken accordingly.
Former Chief Secretary Leelamani Paudel, the Study Committee coordinator, said focus should be equally paid on resolving every problem simultaneously instead of resolving them one by one. For this, the Home Ministry and all ministries should pay their attention, he asserted.
The committees and subcommittees have had individuals as coordinators and members, who have contributed to the reforms in the administration. "People have deep distrust with the study and suggestion committee. But, we are working voluntarily for them. We will give a conclusion through our experiences and new priorities. You have put faith in us. We expect the implementation of the report," said Paudel.
